Sulky iron-on transfer pens

$6.99

These iron-on transfer pens are exactly what I use for most of my embroidery transfers. Trace over a reversed image of the design you want to transfer (all of my patterns come regular and reversed). Lay it ink-side down over the fabric you want to stitch and hit it with a hot dry iron. You image will transfer to the fabric with no bleeding. I can generally transfer an image 4 times before needing to retrace it - and that fourth transfer is fairly faint, but still readable.

This is not a super-fine-line pen. I find 4 strands of floss cover it well (happily - 4 strands is my favorite stitching thickness). If you need a finer line you'll need to use a pencil or fine pen and trace it. I have yet to find a fine-line iron-transfer pen.

The ink DOES NOT wash out and doesn't smudge.

If you want to see an iron-on pencil in action (same process as the pens), take a look at this video at Shiny Happy World on how to transfer an embroidery pattern. The pencils are more readily available, but sometimes they bleed a bit on certain fabric. I prefer my Sulky pens because they don't bleed at all.

I love these pens and have the whole rainbow of colors to choose from - I like to match the ink to my planned thread color. I use them nearly every day and they last a LONG time. You can buy them individually or purchase a set of 4 colors at a discounted price.
