Safari Quilt - 12 block patterns and complete applique workshop
I designed the Safari Quilt especially to teach people how to applique. The blocks are nice and big for easy handling, and include complete instructions with loads of step by step photos to teach you an easy (and fast) machine applique technique. You'll start with the easiest blocks (all convex curves) and work your way through a series of twelve patterns, each building on the skills already learned. By the time you've finished the quilt you'll have mastered convex curves, notches, concave curves, and points - everything you need to tackle just about any applique pattern.
When you purchase the collection you'll receive an immediate email with a link to download the master PDF which includes. . .
* an introduction to the basics of applique (with links to videos teaching three different techniques)
*links to download each block pattern, with full-sized pattern pieces and complete instructions - including links to video tutorials
*instructions for assembling the quilt top from the completed blocks
*instructions (with links to video tutorials) for piecing the backing, layering and basting your quilt, machine quilting, and my favorite binding technique
In addition to the full-sized pattern for each block, you'll also receive a smaller (one page) version of the image to make it easier to enlarge or reduce it to suit your needs. They'd make especially nice embroidery patterns - stitch some wall art of PJs to match your new quilt!
The finished quilt is 62 inches wide x 78 inches tall. That's a twin size quilt with no pillow tuck and a shortish drop on each side. I include instructions for adding a custom border if you want a longer drop - especially nice if your mattress is an extra-tall pillowtop.
For $30 you receive 12 complete, full-sized block patterns plus instructions for final quilt assembly. That's just $2.50 a pattern plus a complete work-at-your-own-pace workshop! AND you can reuse individual patterns to make tote bags, pillows and more. Get it now and start learning to applique. You can make this!Pin It
