Merry Meercats PDF Applique Pattern
Meerkats are so cute! And they always stick together in mobs, so I had to include three on a single block. I designed this applique pattern especially for beginners. You can make it!
* The block is nice and big - 16 inches square! That means even though there are three cuties on it, the applique pieces are a nice size and easy to handle. The ears are tiny - but I give you special instructions for handling them.
* The edges are all convex curves - the easiest curves to handle.
You'll receive full-sized pattern pieces - nothing to enlarge or reduce. Though you can certainly do that if you prefer to make it larger or smaller. Reduce them down a bit and they'd be great on a T-shirt!
The pattern includes complete instructions with loads of step-by-step photos and links to video tutorials teaching you every skill you'll need to make this project.
The instructions in the pattern are for a quick and easy machine applique technique that looks very similar to fancy needle-turn applique, but there are also links to videos showing you how to applique with fusible adhesive or use needle-turn if you prefer the look of those methods.
With this single block you can make a wall hanging or pillow cover. Applique the design to a tote bag, a T-shirt, or anything else you can think of.
You could also repeat the same block multiple times for a quilt like the Peekaboo Bear quilt.
Or you can sign up for the Safari Quilt Block of the Month Club. Every month for 12 months you'll get a new applique block pattern of an African animal, progressing in difficulty throughout the year until you're smack in the intermediate skill level.
After your purchase of this item you'll receive an email allowing you to download the pattern instantly. That's right - service at the speed of light!
