Fancy Flamingo applique pattern PDF

Aaah - pink flamingos. Such an odd-looking bird. :-) This one is extra easy to make - only two pieces! Though one of them is very long and curvy (convex and concave curves) and the beak has a point that you'll want to keep as pointy as possible. Good thing the pattern includes links to videos teaching you how to do all that. :-) You can totally make this - I designed her especially for beginners!

The block is nice and big - 16 inches wide and almost 32 inches tall - twice as tall as the basic Safari Quilt blocks. That means the applique pieces are nice and big - and if you decide to make a full quilt it will go together pretty quickly.

You'll receive a full-sized pattern - nothing to enlarge or reduce. I also include a smaller pattern that fits on a single page for easy enlarging and reducing, in case you want to also use the pattern for embroidery, collage, painting, or other projects.

The instructions in the pattern are for a quick and easy machine applique technique that looks very similar to fancy needle-turn applique, but you can also use fusible adhesive or needle-turn if you prefer the look of those methods. You'll find tutorials for those methods at Shiny Happy World.

With this single block you can make a wall hanging or pillow cover. Applique the design to a tote bag, a T-shirt, or anything else you can think of.
