Cranky Crocodile applique pattern PDF
$5.00
This Cranky Crocodile is all teeth lots and lots of teeth in a looooooong block. It's as wide as two regular safari blocks! You can use it for a pillow cover, join several into a quilt or make up the whole safari collection into one twin sized quilt.
The block is nice and big - 16 inches tall and almost 32 inches wide. That means the applique pieces are nice and big - and if you decide to make a full quilt it will go together pretty quickly. And take another look at all those teeth. You could place and applique each one individually - but I show you a way to work each row of teeth as one applique piece. Whew!
You'll receive a full-sized pattern - nothing to enlarge or reduce. I also include a smaller pattern that fits on a single page for easy enlarging and reducing, in case you want to also use the pattern for embroidery, collage, painting, or other projects.
The pattern includes complete instructions with loads of step-by-step photos and links to video tutorials teaching you every skill you'll need to make this project.
The instructions in the pattern are for a quick and easy machine applique technique that looks very similar to fancy needle-turn applique, but you can also use fusible adhesive or needle-turn if you prefer the look of those methods. You'll find tutorials for those methods at Shiny Happy World.
With this single block you can make a wall hanging or pillow cover. Applique the design to a tote bag, a T-shirt, or anything else you can think of.
You could also repeat the same block multiple times for a quilt like the Peekaboo Bear quilt.
Or you can sign up for the Safari Quilt Block of the Month Club. Every month for 12 months you'll get a new applique block pattern of an African animal, progressing in difficulty throughout the year until you're smack in the intermediate skill level. This snake is the fifth block in the series. You can see other animals in the series in the additional photos.
After your purchase of this item you'll receive an email allowing you to download the pattern instantly. That's right - service at the speed of light!
