DIY Bunny Kit
$12.50 / Sold Out
Now it's even easier to make a Shiny Happy Bunny - with this kit! No tracing the pattern, no embroidering the face (unless you want to - and then you can stitch right over the printed lines, no transferring needed), no applique - just cut, stitch, stuff, and hug. :-)
This kit is suitable for sewing by hand or by machine, by kids or by grown ups. Simple instructions (for those with some sewing experience) are printed right on the fabric. For those who want more detail there's also a free video showing you how to put your bunny together AND a printable PDF pattern with links to helpful video tutorials. You can totally do this!
I'm offering two different kit options. Here's what you get in each. . .
The Basic Bunny Kit
This kit gives you just the fabric. I designed the prints, then had them printed on the fabric - and it's printed on Kona cotton (that's the good stuff serious quilters use). You provide scissors, stuffing, pins, thread, and a needle or sewing machine.
This is the kit to buy if you do any crafting at all and have some basic tools and supplies already.
The Everything But the Scissors Bunny Kit
Exactly what it says it is - everything but the scissors. You get the fabric, the stuffing, a needle, matching thread, and a handful of pins. All you need to provide are scissors.
This is the kit to buy if you're taking it with you to Grandma's house and you want to have everything you need to make the bunny while you're there. Or if you live in a tiny apartment and don't want a partial bag of leftover bunny stuffing sitting around for the next 3 years. Or if your kid is just trying out this sewing thing and you don't want to buy a whole pack of needles, a whole spool of thread, a big bag of stuffing and an entire package of pins - plus a pincushion to keep them off your floor. You get the idea.
For either kit, choose blue lattice or pink daisy print.
If you're sewing by machine, expect to spend about an hour making your bunny. If you're sewing by hand it will probably take a few hours. And it's easy! This is a great project for beginners!
